Sunny Stout-Rostron

Sunny Stout-Rostron, DProf has played a leading role in building the emerging profession of coaching. Her passion is to develop the knowledge base for coaching through evidence-based research and the critical reflection of dedicated practitioners. Through coaching and consulting in the complex arena of leadership and management development, and relationship and conflict mediation, she has been instrumental in facilitating significant corporate cultural change and transformation projects. Sunny has also focused on developing Masters and Doctoral programmes for leadership coach education in South Africa.

She is a Founding Director of People Quotient Pty Ltd, Founding Member of Sunny Stout-Rostron Associates CC, and Founding President of the professional association Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA). Sunny is part-time faculty at the School of Business at the University of Stellenbosch and the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP)in Cape Town. A contributing author to many books and journals, Sunny’s books include Everything You Ever wanted to Know About Managing People But Were Afraid to Ask(Knowres, 2022); Transformational Coaching to Lead Culturally Diverse Teams (Routledge, 2019); Business Coaching International: Transforming individuals and organizations (Karnac,2009/2013); and Business Coaching Wisdom and Practice: Unlocking the secrets of business coaching (Knowres, 2009/2012).
